John McCain didn't once mention the middle class. Instead, chose to repeat false, negative attacks that make up 100% of his advertising these days.
Barack Obama talked about the real problems ordinary people face during this economic crisis and concrete ways that he will create jobs, cut health care costs, build a new energy policy, and get our economy moving.
He has a plan. McCain did not talk once about how to make the lives of Americans better and reverse the damage that has been done. Which one is a true leader?

Gwen Ifil on Meet the Press talks about Palin Blowing off the Debate
During the vice presidential debate on Thursday, Sarah Palin announced that she "may not answer the questions that either the moderator or you want to hear." In fact, "On at least 10 occasions, Palin gave answers that were nonspecific, completely generic, pivoted away from the question at hand, or simply ignored it." Palin "more than ignored" some of her questions -- she "blew me off" and that Palin decided to "give a stump speech" instead of a debate.
As a voter, I felt ripped off. We were supposed to learn about the issues and where the candidates stand. Palin gave run around non-answers, and played cutesy - flirting with the camera and winking at it 5 times!!!! This woman is running for the second highest seat in the entire Nation. I do not want a cute flirty beauty pageant queen - I want a smart, professional, knowledgeable person. As a woman, I was insulted by her attitude.

The VP debate
Here's what I thought of it. . .
She didn't give any answers, but danced around them and made up her own questions. The sad thing is, she didn't even answer any of the questions she made up.
And whatever they are calling "folksy" I call hick. She sounds uneducated and condescending. Biden not only answered the questions, he supported them with facts, names of bills, and records. The thought of that woman potentially in charge scares the crap out of me.
Out of 43 Presidents the US has had, 9 of them either died or were assassinated while in office . . . So the odds are 24% that as VP Palin would take over if McCain were elected and if, God forbid, he died while in office. Add his history of having 4 bouts with melanoma, the deadliest and most fatal type of skin cancer there is, and his age of 72 years, the odds of him living the full four year of his term drop to a 1 in 3 chance. http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0908/13096.html according to the Social Security Administration's 2004 actuarial tables and the authoritative 2001 mortality statistics assembled by the National Association of Insurance Commissioners.

John McCain was born August 29, 1936 - that would bring him to his basic life expectancy (minus his melanoma and whatever other health issues he is hiding from us) http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0908/13856.html
